A setting where female role models are the norm rather than the exception can help girls develop into
competent, confident women. In Girl Scouts, girls find the guidance of a caring, trained female role
model and the support system they need to face difficult situations and make informed decisions in a
world full of challenges and choices.
The Girl Scout environment increases female performance, achievement, and leadership. It's no
surprise that former Girl Scouts make up more than half the women in Congress and two-thirds of the
women listed in Who's Who. |
